AI Tier List Maker

Paste anything, say what to rank it by, and get an S to D tier list in a few seconds. Then drag the chips around until it's right.

0/40

3 to 40 items. Duplicates are dropped.

How it works

  1. 01Paste the things you want ranked, one per line or separated by commas, and say what to rank them by: best for beginners, best value, most fun.
  2. 02Your list and the criterion are sent to Jev, TypeSafe's System One model. It rates each item on its own against five described levels, D through S, and returns a score between them.
  3. 03Items land in the tier their score rounds to, sorted within the tier by the exact score. The model, tokens and cost of the run are printed under the board.
  4. 04Disagree with a placement? Drag the chip to another tier, then copy the board as text to paste anywhere.

Questions

How does the AI tier list maker decide the tiers?

Each item is scored separately against five levels written for your criterion, from "among the worst options" (D) to "a top pick nearly everyone would agree on" (S). Jev returns a probability for every level, and the weighted average becomes the score. The tier is that score rounded to the nearest level.

What does S tier mean?

S tier is the top of the board: the best of the best for whatever you're ranking by. It comes from Japanese grading, where S sits above A. Below it, A is excellent, B is fine, C is below average and D is the bottom.

Can I change where an item is ranked?

Yes. Drag any chip to another row, or tap a chip and then tap a tier letter on a phone. On a keyboard, focus a chip and press S, A, B, C or D. Moved chips show a dashed border and the tier Jev gave them, and one click resets the board.

What should I put in "rank by"?

Something specific gives the most useful board. "Best first language for beginners" or "best fries" ranks very differently from "overall quality". If you leave it empty, items are ranked by overall quality.

How many items can I rank at once?

Between 3 and 40 per board. Duplicates are dropped before ranking, and each item can be up to 60 characters. For bigger lists, split them into themed boards.

Is my list stored or shared?

Your list is sent to Jev to be scored and the result is cached so the same list returns the same board instantly next time. Nothing is tied to your name and there's no signup.

Can I share my tier list?

Use "Copy as text" to get a plain S/A/B/C/D list you can paste into a chat, a tweet or a doc. It includes your changes, not just Jev's original placement.
